Maths:
Quick Question
John collected some frangipani flowers. Samu gave him 188 more. Now he has 408 frangipani flowers. How many frangipani flowers did John start with?
And/or:

Problem Solving
Fill it Up – I know a lot of you have been cooking so you will be familiar with standards of measurement.  Help Nirali and Isao sort out their measurement problems (Link under Useful Websites).  You will need to use your place value knowledge to help here.
And/or:

Keep working on the games and activities on Studyladder, Prodigy and under Useful Websites that focus on basic facts knowledge.  This will help you to solve any maths problem.



Read or write:
Complete the Quirky Quiz #6 created by Mrs Alexander.  Link under Useful Websites.  You will need to record these on a piece of paper or on another doc.  Feel free to send to me or check the answers with family members.
And/or:

Spelling
Continue working on your spelling lists and activities in the post on Monday.

And/or:

CSO writing – Create a short piece of writing (5 – 6 sentences) using one of each of the examples in the grid.  Focus – to use different sentence beginnings.

Playing Cards Challenge again -   You all should remember this from school.  Every suit in the deck of cards represents a different exercise and the card value (number) equals the number of reps.
  1. Spades: Long jumps (two feet together start and two feet together landing, soft knees)
  2. Hearts: Shuttle runs.
  3. Clubs: Bear Crawl (hands and feet on the floor and knees just above the floor) 1 number = 1 metre
  4. Diamonds: Mountain climbers
See if you can do 20 cards today.
