Week 4 - Alert Level 3

Term 2 -  Monday 4 May

Maths: Quick Question Seini is making ula lole (a necklace made of sweets) for her mum’s graduation, she has 56 lollies. How many more lollies does she need to have 94 lollies altogether? And/or: Problem Solving Slippery Slope – revisit the useful strategy using tidy (tens) numbers.  (Link under Useful Websites).  And/or: Keep working on the games and activities on Studyladder, Prodigy and under Useful Websites that focus on basic facts knowledge.  This will help you to solve any maths problem.	Read or write: Complete the Quirky Quiz #5 created by Mrs Alexander.  Link under Useful Websites.  You will need to record these on a piece of paper or on another doc.  Feel free to send to me or check the answers with family members. And/or: Spelling Can you spell the 100 words on the list below? Organise those that are a bit tricky into 2 lists of 10 words and focus on them for the week using the activities below. And/or: A Moment in Time Use your experience while walking or biking during lockdown to create a Moment in Time.  Focus is on adding detail. Lockdown I heard …….. I saw….. I felt….. I wondered ….. Remember you can use two I heard or two I wondered etc and lines can be in any order although I wondered is a good way to end.
Be Creative: Use Paper Towels and felt pen to great amazing designs using dots – a great calming activity.	Exercise: Continue working on Silone’s Challenge. And/or: Go to the Jump Jam link and do Who let the dogs out?  That is a real heart racer.  Give it everything!

		Create a word find with your words for someone else to solve.				Create a secret code to spell out your words. e.g., A = 1, B = 2
