Welcome to Friday Fun Day. Normally we would be going to assembly and sharing our learning … but in our bubbles we are going to have to change things a little. On Fridays we’re going to do a little of everything. All the things you love. You might opt into one thing and spend more time on it and less on another. Do what works for you. Next week you’re going to need a plastic milk bottle (maybe save a couple incase you make a mistake) J
STEM -(Science/ Technology/ Engineering Maths)
EASTER EGG ZIPLINE
Easter Eggs need to travel long distances. Can you design a zipline that can safely carry an Easter Egg across the room? Can it move without your help? (If you’ve eaten all your easter eggs you may need to use something else of similar weight – dress up a rock!!)
Materials:
· Newspaper
· Sellotape
· String/wool
· Pipe cleaners
· Any other materials from home that would help with this challenge

I just watched one today that had experiments using milk. He even talked about how to make ice-cream! We should definitely have a go at that.
All his lessons are on youtube.

Feeling Arty?
Competition Time! Who wouldn’t want to win some Appleby Farms delicious ice cream and have their drawing in the newspaper?
Nick Smith has launched a drawing competition called Thanking Essential Services Art (TESA), with Suter Art Gallery, Nelson Mail, Hieke Nelson Principals Assn & Appleby Farm Icecream.
This idea is about the need to thank the doctors, nurses, pharmacists, cleaners, supermarket workers, truck drivers, home carers, farmers and emergency workers who are keeping our community well and safe.
Competition finishes at the end of the four week lockdown (so not long to go … hopefully). All information is on the link below.
Here’s an example from Abigial Ford (7 years old)
Or if this isn’t for you…
Bunny Art
Go to Ti kouka’s Blog. I have put some bunny art on there and it’s very cute. The great thing is you can make dye using things in your pantry which was so much fun!
I got my girls Neve and Lily to have a go too. There’s some very funny blooper videos to look at too … sorry about my videoing skills!

Our Grateful/Fun Experiences Bag
On Fridays we normally add to our bag. Just because we’re at home it doesn’t mean we can’t be doing this. You could find a jar at home or an envelope to keep them safe.
What are you grateful for?
EXTRA
What is something you wished you could have done this week but couldn’t because you’ve had to stay at home?
Write these on a piece of paper and remember to add your symbol to the front so we know it’s yours (mine’s a flower can you remember yours?)
